Driftline · Calawah River regular
“Calawah notes are kept in gauge feet, not CFS. Let me set the default per river.”
Shipped. CFS / gauge feet toggle, defaulted per river.
The community-built outdoor app
Baseline Maps is shaped by the people who use it every weekend. Tell us what's missing — a river, a map layer, a fix — and watch it ship, usually within the week. 1,100+ rivers, 1,339 hunting units, one price.
Built by request
We don’t have a roadmap committee. We have a Discord, a feedback box, and a list of people who voice-memo us at four in the morning. Here’s what we shipped recently because someone asked.
Driftline · Calawah River regular
Shipped. CFS / gauge feet toggle, defaulted per river.
Driftline · steelhead angler
Shipped. Turbidity readings integrated from every USGS gauge that publishes them.
Driftline · Canadian user
Shipped. Celsius display option, available across every temperature reading.
Driftline · Niagara angler
Shipped. Niagara River added to coverage. Same week we added Michigan and Ontario stations from other requests.

From the field
“I used to check five apps before every trip. Now I check one — and it tells me things the others never did.”
Steelhead guide · Yakima, WA
Driftline Mode · Fishing
Real-time CFS for 1,100+ rivers. Water temp, gauge height, tides, NOAA buoys, hatchery returns. Set your fishable flow window and we’ll tell you when it hits.
Built for the field
In the field
These aren't mockups. The app, the people, the conditions — all real, all from this season.
Driftline · West Coast salmon trip
Wave period and swell forecast next to the rods. Trip-go decision in one screen.
Ridgeline · WA DNR land lookup
Tap any parcel. Designation, manager, hunting allowed status — at a glance.
Driftline · ocean charts
Wave height, barometric pressure, swell — observed and forecast on the same chart.
Ridgeline · golden hour scout
Mode toggle keeps the same map but switches the data behind it — fishing to hunting in a tap.
Driftline · Redshift mode
Pre-dawn launch or late return — toggle Redshift and the whole app reads in red. Easy on the eyes, preserves night vision, kills the blue light that wrecks a 4 a.m. start.
Ridgeline · opening morning
Two hunters, one app, one shared waypoint set. The plan happens at the tailgate.
Ridgeline Mode · Hunting
GMU maps, land ownership, public vs private boundaries, season dates, draw odds, weather windows, offline topo and hillshade for the backcountry.
Maps
Topo, satellite, hillshade, parcels, public-land boundaries, MVUM roads, lake bathymetry. Sourced from USGS, NOAA, state agencies, and county GIS — never resold marketing data.
How we work
No product committee. No roadmap held hostage by a quarterly OKR. Four steps, four people, all in.
Open Settings → Feedback. Tap Feature Request or Bug Report. It lands in our queue the moment you hit send.
Every one. Usually within a day. If it's a bug, we triage it that hour. If it's a feature, we ask follow-ups.
Bug fixes inside a week. Features in days to a couple of weeks, depending. The Development Queue in the app shows what's in flight.
When the feature you asked for ships, you hear about it before it lands in the Development Queue.

I have a few other apps for fishing and this has them all beat. The sheer amount of data provided is seriously impressive. Every update I find myself opening the app and trying to figure out what new feature was added.

I love that you can actually reach the developer and give input to help make Driftline better. That makes the app feel more personal and connected, like the people behind it really care.

The company being quick to do updates and corrections when errors or bugs are found is why I’ve stuck with this app. I am finding myself using this app quite often to check river access and conditions.

I have been here since the beginning and the changes they have made to this app due to user requests is amazing. Day by day it is becoming a 1 stop shop app with features that are actually useful.

I’ve been impressed with the ability to gather important data about whether I should get out fishing or not, and especially the ability to set custom alerts. Some of my favorite fishing is very dependent on conditions.

This is such a useful app for fishing, hunting, shooting, and anything outdoor related. The thing that really puts it over the top is that if you have an idea or an improvement you just let them know.
