Overview
GMU 92 is a small (~58 sq mi) plains unit tucked into Colorado's northeast corner, bounded by US-138 and Nebraska to the north, I-76 to the east and south, and Red Lion Road (Logan CR 93) to the west. It is a farm-and-ranch landscape of dry and irrigated cropland, CRP, and sandsage prairie riding the South Platte River bottom. Deer are the only species with meaningful harvest here; pronghorn and elk are essentially incidental. Access is the whole game — the ground is overwhelmingly private with very limited public land.
Terrain
Flat to gently rolling High Plains along the South Platte, dropping into river bottom and irrigated valley floor. Almost no relief — glassing is about field edges, draws, and tree lines, not ridges.
